Inheriting the Flagship mantle

Subaru's Tribeca takes on the mantle of Flagship in the Subaru line as a progressive-type SUV combining the agility and comfort found in Outback models with the additional room and flexibility of a larger SUV package.

It is the biggest, plushest Subaru, named after a culturally-advanced and sophisticated neighbourhood on New York's Manhattan Island representing the confluence of three automotive genres: luxury sedan, multi purpose vehicle, and upmarket sports-utility.

The Tribeca was introduced to the United States market in May 2005 and has carved a niche for itself in a segment where only the very best will do. Positioned as a progressive SUV, the Tribeca has appealed to buyers who demand excellent levels of safety, comfort, quality, and dynamic ability.

Its powerful 3.0-litre engine, already proven in the Outback and Legacy, delivers a sporty but economical 180 kW and great torque of 297 Nm at 4 200 r/min, giving drivers a full range of choices according to their driving preferences or to suit their lifestyles.
